Where does the name Beija Flor comes from?
Beija Flor is the Portuguese name for the hummingbird and it literally means “The Kisser of flowers”. The name has resonated from our products that kiss the space they are in.

Beija Flor is based in ‘Hukuk’, an eco village in the north of Israel.

Can you produce a custom made mat?
- We offer the option for custom made mat only from our tile mat collection (Wabi Sabi family excluded)
- The minimum order for a custom carpet is € 560 or 4 square meters
- The maximum sheet width is 130 cm. For carpet orders larger than the maximum sheet width, we manufacture the carpet as several graphic sheets that when placed side by side have the respective carpet design’s appearance (they are not connected)
- A quote is provided based on the relevant size required and design.
- The delivery is four weeks from the order date

Will the mats color be exactly as on the screen?
How do I straighten my tile flooring mat?
If failed to flatten by itself, warmth will do the trick. Reverse roll the mat and lay it for a moment in a safe distance from a mild heat source until it softens a little. Spread the mat on the floor. Within a short, while it will flatten out completely, this may take a few minutes to an hour.

How do I clean Beija Flor products?
Cleaning and Care instructions are written on each product page on the website, and they are as follows:
Carpets – Wash with water and the detergent of your choice on both sides and leave to dry before placing it back on it’s dedicated space. NOTE – keep away from bleach and acid-based detergents.
Tile stickers – Wipe clean with a damp cloth. keep away from bleach and acid-based detergents.

Can Beija Flor products be used outside?
Our mats are intended for indoor use, However, yet they can be used in shaded patio or balcony. Be mindful as colors may fade in direct sunlight.
Are your mats suitable for the bathroom?
While some situations may be suitable, overall – our mats do not have anti-slip surface and therefore should not be used in soaking wet environments.
Can I use floor mats on floors with radiant heating systems?
Yes. Beija Flor floor mats can withstand 85°F/30°C from radiant heating systems.
Do the floor mats have a physical/chemical reaction with wood flooring?
Prior to using any coated product on a wooden floor, make sure the floor is completely dry. Otherwise, the floor mat materials may have a negative reaction when placed on a wooden floor due to the polyurethane substance in the floor coating.
We also recommend to occasionally lift, move or shake out your floor mat.
Can I place hot pots directly on a placemats or runner?
When placed directly, hot pots may damage the placemat/runner. Please take caution and use a trivet or a dedicated coaster to protect your placemat/runner from excessive heat.
Are all your products available online?
All Beija Flor designs sold each season are available online. The Beija Flor website is the only website with the complete Beija Flor assortment.

What forms of payments are accepted?

Purchases from select countries (view list) will not carry any additional cost other than the costs displayed on our checkout page.

How long do deliveries take?
Once you place your order it is sent to production.This process may take up to 14 days.
Once your product is ready, it is packed and sent off via express shipping with DHL or TNT with the shipping time of 3-7 days.
